Billboard Construction Designed Around Existing Obstacles
This is a billboard that Outdoor Specialist, Inc. designed and fabricated for our client, Apple Outdoor. Located in York PA, the special features of this outdoor advertising structure include a 14×48 on one side and two poster faces on the other. To locate a billboard on this site, OSI had to consider a newly constructed building and existing power lines. To accommodate both location and the best possible exposure, the support was cantilevered and the head flagged. This allowed the new billboard to fit between the power lines and the new building. There was also a time challenge that had to be met as all construction had to be finished and cleaned up before the grand opening of a new Chipolte restaurant.
Design considerations focused on meeting community standards while maximizing the exposure of this billboard along Route 30. Route 30, also known as Loucks Road, is a major connector to Interstate 83 approximately 1 mile to the east of the new billboard.
As usual Outdoor Specialist, Inc’s team worked with Apple Outdoor and local government to assure a smooth process to get this new billboard up within budget and on schedule!
